Wake up to Bailey's Caramel Cream Liqueur Coffee
Need a getaway for St. Pats Day this March 16 & 17 weekend? Our Spring weather could not get much better, could it? It is ok to say, Kiss me I am Irish constantly this weekend!
Staying over at either the Franklin Street Inn or Franklin Inn on Durkee and having an Irish breakfast will start your day off in full swing. Even the Irish Want-a-bes have enjoyed feasting on Corned Beef Hash Brown Egg Bake with Irish Soda Bread, Grilled Tomato, and coffee with Baileys Caramel Cream Liqueur? If this is not your breakfast style, would you lean towards the Dr. Seuss menu choice of Green Eggs & Ham? Whatever your favorites are, we want our full home-cooked breakfast to be your delight!
Then take a short drive to New London which becomes New Dublin every March! Sheamus Fitzpatrick and the McNally Boys perform at the Irish Fest from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Irish music festival is presented under a huge heated big top tent downtown. Entrance to the Irish Fest is $5.00 for the day. Besides music, corned beef & cabbage along with other Irish food, beverages, and market booths are available at the fest.
The St. Patricks Day Parade begins at 1:00 which is Wisconsins largest St. Pats parade. Each years parade typically features various bagpipe bands, marching bands, festive clowns, specialty units, clans, Finnegans Wake, and business floats. Over 100 units are included in the lineup with prizes for the best parade entries.
The inn can host a murder mystery party for your group of eight called Murder Most Green. Discover who did away with Patrick Flaherty before he could celebrate St. Patricks Day. Make sure that you request this fun evening in advance when making your lodging reservation.
Perhaps another option to offer you is to go to Appletons only authentic Irish pub which is a favorite in the Fox Valley! The McGuinness Irish Pub is located downtown Appleton. They serve authentic pub grub along with their famous Irish beer.
